Fire Directives - Most of the following directives are from the Fire Directives Manual on the Facility Management web site.  Click here to go to the Fire Directives Manual.  Click below to access individual directives:

• Artwork and Teaching Materials on School Walls - DPS Directive and Denver Fire Department's policy involving artwork and teaching materials on school walls.
• City Fire Code and Law Violations - Requires posting of a Notice adjacent to Fire Alarm panels.
• Cooking in the Classroom - A DPS fire safety directive that prohibits the use of cooking appliances in classrooms not designed for that specific purpose.
• Corridor (Classroom) Doors Fire Directive - A DPS safety directive regarding doors that exit into school hallways/corridors.
• Fire Alarm Manual - Must be posted next to the Fire Alarm System panels in all DPS facilities.
• Reportable Fires - Provides definitions and examples of reportable fires.
• Securing of Exit Doors - Prohibits use of chains and locks to secure exit doors.
• Storage Shed Construction on DPS Property - A DPS directive regarding the construction of storage sheds on school sites.
