District Insurance Coverage
DPS insurance provides some coverage for school related activities. Principals must approve the school related activities and use of private vehicles. DPS employees riding in private vehicles for school related activities are covered under Workers Compensation. Passengers riding in private vehicles owned by DPS employees would be covered under both DPS and the vehicle owner's insurance.
There is no District insurance coverage for private vehicles owned by parents or other non-District employees.
Student Accident Insurance
