Amusement Rides

Not Covered by Insurance - The District's insurance coverage does not apply to liability for "damages" that arise out of:

Amusement rides operated by you, your "employees", your volunteers or others included but not limited to mechanical rides, air inflated amusement rides or devises such as Moonwalk, Air Castle, Bounce Houses and Adenture Challenge/Obstacle Courses such as Human Rat Race. (E.31.a)

Inflatable Amusement Devices
Please be aware that ASTM Standard F 2374-06 covers the Operation and Maintenance of Inflatable Amusement Devices, such as those mentioned above. The standard provides guidance for owners and operators of the devices.  This includes requirements for set up and operation of the device, including location, surface material and weather conditions.  It also includes guidelines for determining maximum # of users; height, weight and age range for users; appropriate attire; and inappropriate use of the device.

Risk Management has purchased copies of the Standard.  Please call Risk Management at (720) 423-3613 to check out a copy to review.
