Bodily Fluids Clean-up Kit

Disposable Clean-up Kit Cover Image:

The District Warehouse has Bodily Fluids Clean-up Kits.

  • The warehouse item number is #013.0300.00 and the cost of $4.45 per kit.
  • Each school should have at least one kit for the Facility Manager. A second kit can be located in the School Office or Nurse's Office.
  • Kit has everything you need for one clean-up.  See Kit Contents below.
  • Once the clean-up is completed place the kit's red disposal bag into the hazardous waste bag located in the Nurse's Office or the hazardous waste collection box at the school. 

Kit Contents

  • 1 ea. Clean-up Absorbent Pack
  • 1 pr. Disposable Gloves - Medical Grade
  • 1 ea. Scoop, waterproof Michelman coated
  • 1 ea. Scraper, waterproof Michelman coated
  • 1 ea. Biohazard Red Plastic Bag with Twist Tie
  • 1 ea. Quaternary Germicidal Cloth
  • 1 ea. Disposable Towel
  • 1 ea. Antiseptic Hand Wipe
Cleanup Kit Contents:

Instructions for Use

  1. Take the Clean-up Absorbent pack and sprinkle it over the spill.
  2. Put on the Disposable Gloves.
  3. Take the Scoop and the Scraper and scrape up the absorbent gelled spill.
  4. Put the above items in the Red Biohazard Plastic Bag. DO NOT discard Disposable Gloves.
  5. Use Germicidal Cloth to disinfect spill area. Allow to remain wet for 5 minutes.
  6. Wipe up area with Disposable Towel.
  7. Place all items, including Disposable Gloves, into the Red Biohazard Plastic Bag.
  8. Use the Antiseptic Hand Wipe to clean your hands and discard into the Red Biohazard Plastic Bag.
  9. Tie the Red Biohazard Plastic Bag securely to prevent leakage. Dispose of the Red Biohazard Plastic Bag by placing it into the hazardous waste bag located in the Nurse's Office or the hazardous waste collection box at the school.
  10. Wash hands with soap and warm running water.
