The District has implemented a new process for reporting work related injuries. Effective January 1, 2014, work related injuries will be reported to a Call Center. Employees will no longer be required to complete a Notification of Injury form or obtain an Authorization for Treatment form. All school/department administrators have been sent information/materials via school mail for distribution to DPS employees. Click here for more information and to download copies of the materials.

Safety Books Distributed to DPS Elementary Schools

In September 2012, two books on safety were distributed to all DPS elementary and K-8 schools. The books, published by Capstone Press, are Staying Safe around Strangers by Lucia Raatma and What If a Stranger Approaches You? by Anara Guard and illustrated by Colleen M. Madden. Look for these books in your school library. They are appropriate for use by teachers, parents and students in grades ECE-3.
